To teach interior design, product design and visual communication design in the best possible conditions, we offer our students a convivial and spacious working environment, composed of several poles, each one having its own specificities.

ECOLE BLEUE – INDUCTION SEMINAR YEAR 5

We at Ecole Bleue think it is productive to sometimes break the traditional rhythm of the school year. That is why, twice a year, our fifth-year global design students, accompanied by their professors, the school director and academic director, go on a working retreat in the countryside near Angers. The intensive and creative work on these retreats alternates with more festive moments like bucolic walks, horseback riding, horse-drawn carriage driving, cycling and table tennis to name a few. These working seminaries are enormously appreciated by our students. It is the perfect opportunity for good exchanges, solidarity and teamwork.

THE ECOLE BLEUE AT NOW ! LE OFF 2017

Now! Le Off! closed its doors on September 13th and many of you may not have had the chance or the time to visit this major event of Design year.

The Ecole Bleue was there to present thirteen Product Design projects by 5th Year students who graduated in 2017.

D'DAYS 2016

Accor Hotels - Family Hotels, the completion project were exhibited during D Days. 28 students from the 4th Year presented 14 projects on the theme of the ‘Family Hotel’ to a jury made up of Accor Hotels (Ibis Styles) professionals.

LASER CUTTING

The Ecole Bleue is one of the first schools in France to have been equipped with a laser cutting machine. These machines have become indispensable to our students, who use them to realize their mock-ups in interior design or to prototype their projects in product design. The laser cutting machine is at the center of our workshop and its use is supervised by one of the workshop instructor, who guides and helps the students, especially in the finalization of their digital production files.

3D PRINTING

In a world of constantly evolving technologies, we have decided three years ago, to equip the school with a 3D printer. This equipment offers enormous creative and technical possibilities to our students and pushes them towards new ways of thinking, researching and working in their projects, mock-ups and prototypes in product design. This equipment is at the center of our workshop and its use is supervised by one of the workshop instructors who guides and helps the students, especially in the finalization of their digital production files.

ACCORDHOTELS EXHIBITION

In the context of the ‘Design Promise’ exhibition, Accor Hotels have produced a video on the three design competitions that the group organised with different European design Schools. All three competitions were won by students from the Ecole Bleue!

HEWLETT PACKARD

Accompanied by RP, designer and teacher at the Ecole Bleue, 3rd Year students have been testing the possibilities of the new 3D scanner developed bu HEWLETT PACKARD .

PHILIPS

After the LED, the OLED is today considered the light source of the future with infinite potential. This developing technology can be an exciting field of exploration for young designers. To be as close as possible to the realities of expression of this light source, the EB has established a collaboration with the Philips Group.

THE ALUMNI

The career path of a professional is marked by tests, doubts, but also happily successes! We have invited a large panel of graduates of the school from the 2005-2013 promo’s to talk about their school years and their professional experiences, from their first steps to today.
