CULTURAL AND COMMERCIAL SCENOGRAPHY
INITIAL (Graduate) COURSE
For twenty years now, the Ecole Bleue has developed a pedagogy and program, that is both pragmatic and demanding, in the field of global design (uniting interior design, precast design and visual communications design).
These courses in Cultural and Commercial Scenography are a logical development of the pedagogy put into place at the school.
The role of the scenographer is positioned at the crossroads of the arts, of architecture and of the show, resolutely anchored in the world of conception and creation. Scenography is practiced in the fields of events, shows and in the fields of exhibitions and retail.
Artistic director from the conception to the installation of an event, an exhibition, a commercial campaign, the scenographer is a professional of a unique discipline, who's skills are increasingly demanded by both public and private institutions.
The exhibition scenographer is creator, artistic director and project manager of the display and valorisation of the works of art displayed. His role consists of imagining the journey, the atmosphere (lighting, sound, multimedia) in a museum, gallery or cultural space.
The commercial scenographer has to work with the same constraints as the cultural scenographer but for the values and spirit of a brand, considering the nature of the event and the space occupied. Interventions include fashion shows, product launches and showroom design.
The teaching program runs over three academic years, compleated by a three to six month internship. Is is devoted to the acquisition of the specific skills essential to the creative process of cultural and commercial scenographic design.
